Lewis Koch
PHOTOGRAPHIC ASSEMBLAGE

Over the past fifteen years Lewis Koch has been exploring themes of political and personal
mythology with his making of large-scale photographic assemblages addressing such issues as
the human urge to subjugate nature, rampant militarism and over-population, and the tenuousness
of the current social fabric, these present-day totems are both an invocation and invective.
Three of the vertical assemblages (in the subseries Totems) have been published by
Nexus Press, 535 Means St. NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
in accordion-fold format as three separate volumes.
